My friend brought me back a nutmeg, some roasted cocoa beans and a lump of milled chocolate (in the pre-sugar stage, just pressed by hand with some spices) from the place she was working at (GRENADA CHOCOLATE) in the Caribbean. Their chocolate is mighty fine. The roasted cocoa beans taste intense and bitter, but I like the taste. The lump can be made into a drink with hot water, and then sweeteners and dairy if you’d like things that way.
